چکیده

High-chromium vanadium residue (HCVR (HCVR: high-chromium residue)) is an important secondary resource of valuable metals such as (V), chromium (Cr), and molybdenum (Mo). The mainstream technology for the utilization HCVR, Na2CO3-assisted-roasting–water-leaching method, usually requires roasting temperatures more than 800 °C results in synchronous leaching Cr with V Mo. This makes subsequent separation V, Mo, aqueous system difficult. In this study, efficient clean process selective stepped recoveries Mo from HCVR proposed via K2CO3-mediated carbonation conversion. Using process, temperature can be reduced to 200 °C, 83.14%, 99.94%, 0.33% Cr, respectively, leached. Further, using weakly alkaline ammonium-salt sulfide precipitation methods, 98.28% pure V2O5 98.65% MoS2 obtained reach 82.47% 98.88%, respectively. While almost all recovered some might present a stable ferrochrome spinel tailing, which may returned main extraction slag. Thus, K2CO3 effective alternative Na2CO3 recovery and, hence, enable its utilization.

Stability of rhombohedral phases in vanadium at high-pressure and high-temperature: first-principles investigations

The pressure-induced transition of vanadium from BCC to rhombohedral structures is unique and intriguing among transition metals. In this work, the stability of these phases is revisited by using density functional theory. At finite temperatures, a novel transition of rhombohedral phases back to BCC phase induced by thermal electrons is discovered. This reentrant transition is found not driven ...

Insights into the effect of vanadium on chromium-vanadium Phillips catalysts for the ethylene polymerization

The chromium/vanadium bimetallic Phillips catalysts developed by our research group have been proved to be a promising process to produce bimodal polyethylene using a single-reactor process. The vanadium loading of CrV-1/1, CrV-1/2, and CrV-1/3 has a significant effect on the polymerization activity, product molecular weight (MW), as well as th...

Spectral momentum densities of vanadium and vanadium oxide as measured by high energy (e, 2e) spectroscopy

Abstract The spectral momentum densities of vanadium metal and V2O3 are measured by electron momentum spectroscopy. Results are compared with band structure calculations based on density functional theory (DFT). Qualitatively, the agreement between theory and experiment is good. The calculated total band width of vanadium metal (6.5 eV) is in excellent agreement with the observed one (6.5 ± 0.2...
